The Campus Kitchens Project

The Campus Kitchens Project teams college students with dining services staff to volunteer, develop, and lead programs that provide hunger-relief in their communities.

Hunger relief for today. Job training for tomorrow.

The Campus Kitchens Project, a DC Central Kitchen program funded by the Sodexo Foundation, continues to spread its positive effects across the country. The mission of the program is to encourage and enable college students to volunteer, lead, develop, and serve in a setting that makes a difference in the fight against hunger.

Current Sodexo-supported campuses participating in The Campus Kitchens Project include:

Gonzaga University
Jacksonville University
Marquette University
Minnesota State University - Mankato
Northwestern University
University of Vermont - Burlington

The Campus Kitchens Project brings college students together to recycle food from their dining halls, prepare meals, and distribute them to various hunger relief agencies in their community. Additionally, the program provides jobs and life-skills training for unemployed adults, and continues to expand to more colleges across the U.S.
